I spent 2 years in the Institute, It is an international research center, as well as a platform of communication/exchange(paradise:) towards sustainability for the scholar, researcher, practitioner and artist as well. The official languages are English and German, super cool and foreigners friendly! It's the highlight of my life I will never forget, where I participated in many workshops facilitated by those brilliant scholars and facilitators. I enjoyed the time, communicating with the people from all over the world, integrating my experiences and knowledge of inner transformation and governance towards sustainability. During the last year, I started to run workshops for transcultural communication and tried to build bridge between Germany and China, IASS and the colleagues are so supportive to all my ideas and practice. By the way, IASS located in one of the most beautiful place in Germany- Potsdam. If you have been to swim in the summer behind the institute, you could never forget its beauty... All the information could be easily got in the website. All the colleagues are so nice and always ready for help. Good luck

I feel very fortunate to have had an opportunity to work at the IASS as a Fellow. Their Fellow Programme brings people from around the world at all different career stages to the institute in Potsdam to carry out research of their choosing for up to a year. I've been free to talk and collaborate with many smart people doing all kinds of very interesting interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work. The work addresses some of the most important issues facing humanity now and into the future. I believe there are few institutes like this in the world of this size that focus on sustainability studies and try to bridge the gap between scholarship and society.

Mein Praktikum hier hat mir sehr gefallen. Die Mitarbeitenden sind offen für fachliche Diskussionen und ich konnte mit allen auf Augenhöhe sprechen. Das Thema des Projektes, in dem ich mitarbeitete, finde ich gesellschaftlich relevant (Verkehrswende in Berlin) und ich finde es gut, dass so ein enger Bezug zur Praxis und dem gesellschaftlichen Diskurs besteht.
