Gorgeous castle! Well worth a visit and the inside tour. If you want to take a walk around the outside of the castle, be aware that the forest is quite overgrown and the paths can be quite rugged. Definitely not wheelchair friendly, but otherwise really great!

The Castle is so beautiful and still the old designs and things are preserved well. The museum gives a details of everything with the benefit of English translation for understanding. The Tower tour was awesome as the complete natural surrounding can be seen. Also, there are hiking trails round the castle which added beauty to the trip. It is worth visiting the place. The Bus service to Hannover are in every 2 hours which should be taken care of if one is travelling by Public transport.

Beautiful castle with such old history and the architecture. Loved the passage between the castle where they even have this cafe you can eat at or enjoy a cup of coffee while having a view of the inside of the castle.

The castle as such, is a great place to visit. The walk to the castle from the bus station was refreshing on a day when the Sun was considerate of us, but I can imagine that it could be tiring and exhausting should the Sun were a little harsh. The view of the castle from the surrounding area is marvelous. We ventured a little into the woods around and could get some interesting photos of the castle as such. And as someone else mentioned, the tours were rather sloppy and not interesting at all. We booked a tower tour and then we were taken to the castle gardens tour even after showing our ticket to the tour guide. This was on the Sunday, 16th August 2020, at 11:30AM. We showed our tour guide asking if that was the tower tour, she didn't even have a look at the ticket and guided us along. At the end of 20 minute \Garden tour\, she just said \I didn't see the ticket\ and sent us away. No hint of being apologetic. Not to mention that there was not really any garden there. Maybe there was some 20 years ago but no sign of it now. So, can be avoided in my opinion, unless people are interested in just some sprawling lawn of 2 metres wide

Do not go during corona. The charge for tour is 12 euros which you pay and there is no guided or audio tour. Most of castle is closed for public, it's a waste to pay for ticket. It is beautiful to still walk to it and enjoy it from alley. Food is too expensive but ambience is great.
