It's a wonderful experience. The Palais Thermal is not a standard swimming pool or even a normal spa. It is definitely so much more. The small, individual pools and very large bathtubs are each set in their own space and feel. It makes for a whole new level of a relaxing spa experience. The multitude of saunas and steam rooms is adding to that experience. The whole package is nicely rounded off by the absolutely stunning setting in the valleys of the northern black forest. My wife and I do indeed try to go there as often as time permits and every time it is the most relaxing short break for body and soul.

Very impressive spa, a good combination of old and new, and nice facilities. I give it 3 stars because the experienced was slightly ruined by the staff opening the meditating sauna half an hour before closing and shouting that it’s closing time, just when I was meditating. Also many of the facilities were closed due to COVID 19, and that’s understandable, but the price stayed the same, and also it closed an hour earlier, so if you get the reduced evening price, you only have 2 and a half hours tops, so make sure it’s worth it.

So a lovely place to visit and relax, from lovely old architecture to new technology sauna, up to the panoramic roof Sauna and pool. Especially great in Corona time with limited entrance and lot of space :-)

Beautiful place but not very friendly staff, they do not make you feel welcome at all, do not explain to you how everything works or where to go and each question seemed like one too many. As if they were tired of doing their jobs. We ended up paying for 2 extra towels that we were obliged to take but had left unused in our lockers to return clean and folded. The lady at the desk felt that she would still have to charge us the 8euros per towel even though we had not used the two extra ones. I understand things are more rigid due to corona, but being this rigid without explaining, without using some common sense and at least some idea of hospitality, it just felt like they just wanted to charge us as much as they could. It's unfortunate for such a beautiful and historic place to have such a lack of hospitality and friendliness.

My fiancee and I very much enjoyed our afternoon here. The place is very clean, beautiful and modern. We stayed for about 5 hours and wanted to stay longer. We only left because it was closing. We do not speak German, so we were a little confused about how to use the lockers, and a couple other things, but overall it was a great experience

Delightful ambiance this combination of classic thermal setting complemented with the modern sauna complex. Sadly the receptionist at check out was very strict and cold, not helpful and it left a bit of a bad after taste. Why do you work there if not to facilitate a pleasant experience?

It's one of the best hot spring in Blackforest, but it is currently closed due to Covid-19, which is sad as thermal water cure many things not only for body.

Nice thermal bath, it’s missing this little extra but is a great experience. Massages ok but not amazing
