Amazing views from the top. In addition the hiking trail from Niederwald to Asmanhausen has offshoots with information boards in certain areas showing what you will find there if you dare to delve into the uncommon path ;)

Very nice place for a lazy sunnny weekend. It's quite crowded though.

We took a long hike through the vineyards and then through the forest, looping back to the monument and then returning to Rüdesheim. The views along the river were beautiful and the forest was a nice respite from the sun. The area near the monument is scenic and we'll maintained. There are many hiking and strolling options for all age levels.

An amazing place with an amazing view, this place is situated on a mountain, you can either drive by your car or take a cable car ride up there, after arriving there you ll notice a stunning view of the river and the villages, a perfect spot for taking selfies. After that you can either chose to come down or continue your journey by going on a hiking trail into the woods, which also includes sighting of various small castles and tunnels along the way. Overall it's a wonderful experience which involves a mixture of nature and history.
