Cool to see. Was told it's usually not open to go to the top. Just happened to be a festival going on so, got to climb up and enjoy local food and beer.

Nice place by day and night.Bismarck monuments have been erected since 1868 in honor of the first German Chancellor, Prince Otto von Bismarck, who was dismissed in 1890, in many places in Germany at the time, in the former colonies and on all continents. The Augsburg Bismarck Tower follows the standard Götterdämmerung, with which the architect Wilhelm Kreis won a competition of the German student body in 1899, one year after Bismarck's death. This means that this tower is practically identical in construction to 47 other Bismarck towers and / or Bismarck columns, apart from individual characteristics.
The hilltop area is great for a panoramic view over the city of Augsburg. You can watch sunrise from the hilltop.
