Great service , good food for a decent price

I have visited Georgia several times and love this country and its culture, so we were pretty excited to visit this restaurant. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. First, the welcome was non-existing. The person present seemed to have rather negative emotions at our appearance, although the restaurant was pretty empty. Later came a nice lady who was a total opposite - very friendly, helpful and cheerful. Selection of wines was very limited, one Georgian and one German wine in both colours! When one is expecting good customers to come to enjoy good food then there should be a decent selection of wines. Not to mention that Gerorgia has so many good wines and the ones in offer in Zum Löwen were really bad. We ordered schashlyk which looked nothing like on the photos on the website. If they served such schashlyk in Georgia, the cook would have been stabbed with it. Fried potatoes accompanying it were old boiled potatoes, quartered and thrown into a deep-fryer. Advertising themselves as a German-Georgian restaurant should one know how good "Bratkartoffeln" look and taste in Germany. One from our company ordered Chachapuri and that was really good, like it would have been in Georgia. Hopefully the owners will work at least on some of the points I have mentioned, otherwise this place has no long future in Münster.

Restaurant ziemlich gut besucht, Getränke und Essen wurden in angemessener Zeit aufgenommen. Als Gruß aus der Küche kam ein Stückchen georgisches Käsegebäck. Getränke und Vorspeisen kamen zeitnah. Hauptspeisen ließen auf sich warten. Kalbsschaschlik zu trocken und zum Teil knorpelig. Seltsam, ob das wirklich Kalb war? Gemüse komplett kalt, wurde reklamiert, sollte heißes nachkommen. Kam aber nicht, Küche total überlastet, dafür gab's einen Schnaps auf's Haus. Zweite Hauptspeise kam viel später, kleine gefüllte Teigtaschen, geschmacklich sehr gut. Atmosphäre war trotz allem gemütlich, Bedienung sehr herzlich und der Musiker auch gut anzuhören. Mal sehen, ob wir dem Lokal eine zweite Chance geben.

Fast schon ein Geheimtipp wenn s um Georgische Küche geht . Das Essen ist sehr gut gemacht und ziemlich authentisch ( Georgisch ) . Sehr gute Atmosphäre sowohl drinne als draussen . Die WCs sind Sauber und alles Funktionierte. Parkplätze sind ausreichen vom Restaurant vorhanden ansonsten gibt es zusätzlich genügend abstellmöglichkeiten . Nächstes mal werden die Schnitzel und Steaks probiert !
