I have been to Shimai two times so far and have had mixed results with the food. The green dumplings and the fried shrimp dish I tried were very good and definitely warrant a visit there just for these two items alone. The fresh rolls were kind of bland and the tofu dish we tried was tasty but a bit salty and had not so much tofu. NOTE: in corona times, the tables inside are very close to each other so beware. Otherwise, would recommend this place.

By far my favorite Asian restaurant! They have the best red curry that I have ever eaten! The food is excellent, tasty and great quality. They have a good selection on the menu, a variety of choices for vegetarians as well and the prices are also reasonable. The service is friendly and professional and the interior inside is also beautiful with a cozy vibe. If you haven’t tried this hidden gem than I highly recommend You give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Chanced upon this hidden treasure! And what a delight it truly was. Soft shell crab served delicately balanced with strong Asian fusion spices. The noodle dish should not be overlooked...at first it may sound quite plain in comparison with some of the other dishes with meat or seafood, don't be fooled. The vegetarian noodle dish definitely packs a punch with its exquisite bold taste you won't even be missing the meat or seafood.
My favourite restaurant in Maxvorstadt. Delicious Asian (mostly Vietnamese) cuisine and good cocktails. The large patio outside is a plus, especially during the pandemic. Service is efficient as well. A bit on the pricier side compared to your standard Vietnamese place, but well worth it!
We have been trying out many vietnamese restaurants for takeaway in the area. The best so far, everything we ordered was delicious.
