The Templar monastery in Munich has always been a mysterious place for me, perhaps because you can view it from the outside but can’t enter it – unless, as someone once told me, you come at a certain times as poor or homeless person to their soup kitchen. I am, however, not sure whether that is true. The architecture is obviously fake (not really historic), but it looks interesting if viewed under the right wetter conditions. The area around the place is nice for walking, sometimes with surprising photo opportunities, such as a duck family trying to move up the creek.

As fascinating to behold as a grotesque monster, which is exactly what this building is... a strange Frankenstein of medieval, gothic and baroque architectural features mashed together with all of the seams showing.
Beautiful building. One of the most impressive buildings in town.
...For me, one of the prettiest religious buildings in town, with fantasting exterior, and amazing interior with nice pictures etc...
Some kind of mysterious. Would like to see the inside but that is not easy.
Hidden gem in Munich.
Absolut sehenswertes Bauwerk, schön gelegen. Ein Spaziergang entlang des Auer Mühlbaches führt vorbei.
sehr freundlich,
