Rental service is a shame! I booked a rental car almost a month in advance for a period of 20 days. First, the day before, I called to know about pick up the vehicle and they say \the vehicle MAY BE ready tomorrow\???? I have rented this vehicle for that date why maybe. Nevertheless, the D-day at 8am I receive a voice message confirming that I could take over the vehicle. last Friday, I arrived at the show room with the required documents: driving licence, passport and Anmeldebestätigung (not being a German citizen). The person simply tells me: we are going to have a problem, your Anmeldebestätigung must be less than 5 days old?????? Not only did nobody warn me, but this document does not need to be renewed. Result: absolutely no effort was made, he just asked me to come back on Monday (although I had rented a car for 20 days, so I wasn't supposed to stay in the city, of course), and let me leave without a car. It's a shame, I thought renting directly from Mercedes would be more serious. The service is really deplorable. And to top it all off, someone calls me later in the day to make sure that the pick up of the vehicle went well, I explain the situation to her and she tells me that it's not normal obviously because this document is not necessary, she says she is doing research to understand the situation, puts me on hold, and never takes me back. Conclusion: Prefer rental agencies that are experts in the field, I went through a rental agency that not only rented me a vehicle at the last minute, but did not find an excuse such as the registration paperwork less than 5 days before.
