We went there during our quick stop at Mainz. We were looking for a restaurant that would represent local cuisine. The choice was good. Nice place with traditional look. All food was served quickly and quality was as well fine. If you looking for good food for a reasonable price in the center of town go and try it.

Excellent German dishes! Lovely atmosphere as well as nicely medival decorated! Service might be on the slow end but when it's available, they are very kind! Would definitely eat here again!
Being a tourist in Mainz it’s always a problem to find THE REAL AUTHENTIC place.... but this is it! In the ️ of the old city of Mainz! Go there and be courageous and order some typical German or Mainz food: Eier mit grüner Sauce for example... eggs with potatoes and white dressing with herbs....or some Schnitzel... or liver....Prices are really affordable! And people are sitting together at real bud wooden tables... so it will be very easy to make friends! Enjoy!
