This organisation does fantastic work! If I could give 6 stars, I would! With their very effective network of people all across Europe, they manage to rescue many setters and give them a second chance in life with loving and caring new owners. Before the adoption, Ralf or one of the team members will come and check you out, just to be absolutely sure they are sending a setter to a good new home. I thought that was brilliant, as Ralf traveled 4 hours to meet me, spent at least 2 hours with me, and then drove back again! We had a good chat with Ralf about what the adoption would be like, what to expect and what not to expect. That shows how dedicated he and the SRG team are, making sure the setters really get a much better life and the love they need. SRG also deals with all the paperwork, the transport (often 1400KM or more!) and castration. I have two setters through SRG and they are great. Obviously these dogs come from a bad situation (cruel heartless hunters) and will need some time to get used to living in a house and trusting people. But once they do, thanks to all the love and care you give the setter, you'll have the best new friend ever. Finally, SRG adopters share nice stories and help each other out on a private Facebook group. It's nice to have this network of people, that help each other with advice. In short, TL;DR: SRG is a fantastic organisation!

I've fostered a lot of dogs wich have found their new families thanks to SRG and a month ago I decided to adopt my first dog and I got a lot of support from staff and collaborators. They are always very interested about any information about the behaviour and health of the dogs, to look for the families where they could fit better and to let them know any detail that could be important. They really care for the wellbeing of the dogs and that they arrive safe to their new homes. I use to get plenty of pics and videos from the dogs in their new homes, they look very happy.

This rescue foundation does great work. They keep in touch with you after you adopt one of their dogs. You can always contact them via phone, messenger mail or text. Keep up the good work and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Both Ciro (Cirilo) and Kayla (Kuka) are doing great and found their place in our family thanks to you. Gavin has also found his home with us with your help.

It is so bad and it simply should not be allowed that people blame a rescue organization, who put a lot of work and effort in helping dogs if those same people just overestimated themselves. This organization is the best we know! Ralf will help you in every way he can and you are welcome in his home when your adoption dog arrive. And of course, you adopt a dog who lived his or her life in a totally different environment and you should think about it very good, because it will always need some extra work. But for us and for many others we now have the best dog ever! All our respect for Setter Rescue Germany. They know everything about the breed and they will help you in every way they can. Nothing else but respect and a thank you for our wonderful new family member!

Great orga and great volunteer work. Always by the side of those who need it,offering help before and during the adoption, even organising meetings to share the adopter's experiences.
