If you're interested in German history and especially the wooden toys so popular at Kriskindlemarts -- then you want to see this museum. A German friend recommended this town to our tour and we went out of the way to see it. It was well worth the drive. The entire design and construction of the tiny toys is explained along with photographs of entire families working on the miniatures at the turn of the century in villages near Seiffen. The town is large enough you can grab lunch and visit other local shops of interest. It so charming this town and this toy museum in particular.

Wonderful place, great view of the history of toys, many different toys, of many kinds
This museum gives you an impression of the wooden toys and christmas towers. Very special but you have understand the tradition.
Interesting place explaining the history of toy making in the town, interactive with lots to entertain the kids. Thing to note: all the explanations are in German.
Great, I remember some of the exhibits have been there already during GDR times
What cute little Christmas town! Great little ornaments and other German Christmas items! Such friendly people too!!
