The most famous South Indian temple. The temple is similar to the ones in India. The priests conduct the pooja similar to that of India. The temple consists of various gods which include Kamakshi ambal, Ganesha, Shiva, Murugan, Lakshmi Narasimha, Aiyappa, and so on. The temple is located on a wide spread area which includes even Krishna temple outside. I visited the temple on Durgashtami and also had chance to see the dasara gombe pradarshan(dolls arrangement). I really felt like home. Everything is just perfect. Must visit if you are around NRW. Update to Google: the routes from Cologne to Kamakshi Ampal temple is not updated. However, if your travelling from Cologbe hbf you can take RE7 towards Hamm. Once your in Hamm you could take the Buss 33 towards Ventrop Kirche which is basically last stop. From the bus stop a 2 min walk to temple.

In the middle of Germany a beautiful Hindu Temple. We couldn't go in due to covid restrictions but if the inside is as impressive as the outside it should be worth a visit.

Biggest temple in Germany.. Though the main deity is Ambal there are many other deities too.. The temple and its ambiance is divine.. Set away from the hustle and bustle of the city it’s perfectly located.. There are extending the campus and new dirties are being placed as well.. The walls are all being painted with divine stories.. Staff are very friendly and every time you visit there is always prasadam available..

Great ambiance and well maintained structure. It does have a nice atmosphere where you feel that you are in one of these positive energy places and they also serve food for the visitors which should not be missed as the food has its own special temple food taste which must be experienced. I respect the volunteers and service agents, donars and everyone involved in keeping this Temple in shape. I can imagine that it's not easy to have a structure of that big in a country outside of India but you all made it happen.

Inspired by the presentation and style of Kamakshi Ambal Temple in Kanchipuram, India, this temple is the largest temple in Germany. The main Deity is Goddess Kamakshi. Ambience at its best is experienced here. Located at a calm place with ample parking spaces. A must visit!
