To sum it up, I'd gladly given 5 stars, had the factor of value for money wasn't so unbalanced.
Service was exceptional, 2 of 3 waiters who served us were professional, friendly, helpful and at no moment arrogant, as sometimes happens in places as such (the third guy was fine too, just less of a vivid personality)
Setting was pleasant, though I'd advise to prefer a table at the front part. We sat at the back, it was nice too but despite clear efforts the room is lacking of the touch that the front part has.
The food itself, fixed 5 or 7 courses with 2 options to add, was unique, and even if we didn't like everything we got (we had 5 courses, but not exactly the same, as one if us doesn't eat everything - which was no problem, they let us take alternative option) every dish was beautifully served, beautifully arranged, well explained. Some more to our liking some less, but you don't come to a restaurant like this hungry, you come here for an experience and a challange, which is supplied.
So why not 5 stars? The bill was 300 120 each for 5 courses, plus 2 bottles water and 3 drinks all in all. We had similar experiences in restaurants in various places, some more expensive than Berlin in general, to our experience (including Michelin stared restaurants) even if the bill would have been 20% less, it would still be one of the most expensive ones, and for that amount, as pleasant as the experience was, we immediately felt the value for money factor was far from balanced.
Had it been 20% less, at least, I am sure we'd be back and probably recommend it to friends. For some people it may not be an issue though...
