The interior maybe a little dated but everything works just fine. Nice view if you get a room to the river side. Despite the current "situation" there was a good breakfast buffet including warm food options. What's best about the Heidelberg Marriott is the staff. They do an outstanding job making your stay enjoyable, always friendly and professional at the same time.

Everything I expect from a Marriott! We received great service, nice rooms and the food was tasty. The location is phenomenal, there is a ferry stop at the Hotel you can take to the Altebrücke & Altstadt to see the castle. It's also a short 20min walk (feels like less) to the Zoo, which includes a pedestrian bridge across the river!

The hotel was good, clean, and near to most attractions in Heidelberg. People were friendly and nice, but no concierge service at all. Lake view suite was quite spacious .. unlike any similar one I've seen before in Germany.. The restaurant offered very good steak .. unforgettable.

We had a nice stay in July in the Marriott Hotel in Heidelberg. Gayane checked us in, and ensured that we were treated well and had no problems throughout our stay. Thanks to her passionate service and readiness we felt not just like a guest, but THE GUEST. Even when we bumped into her in the city center, when she was not working, asked whether she can help in any way. Gladly recommend this hotel and would stay here the next time as well thanks to Gayane and the exceptional service. Great breakfast as well. :)

I wish I could split the review into two ratings. Hotel was 3 but the staff was a solid six stars! Starting with the downside. The rooms on floor 4 were refreshed in the last few years. New carpet and furniture etc. Feels like they put lipstick on the rooms to keep them in service. Example, a bathtub that is two feet taller tan normal. I am 6'2 and I needed a ladder to climb in and out. The beds were very very hard, not Marriott branded quality I have come to expect. Overall the hotel felt dated and we were on a renovated floor! You can only repair carpet and paint walls so many times. Ok ok... now the Staff! Wow what a great team. They communicated very well with each other and passed on messages. They were also very responsive to every request. Due to Covid we has to move our tenth anniversary weekend to this location the night prior to our arrival. I believe the front desk staff members name was Anna, I messaged the hotel on the app chat, explained our situation and she was able to assist with getting our room upgraded and was able to reserve a river front table at Grill 16 Steak House. Upon arrival the staff welcomed us with a warm Happy Anniversary and explained the current lounge and other Covid restrictions. The lounge was stocked with to go items to include wine and beer, guests were not permitted to use the rest of the area. I wish they would allow the use of the lounge room and balcony with capacity limits based on the style in the gym area. The gym sauna and pool had capacity limits that caused waits for use but guests were very respectful. Breakfast as a Titanium member was served in the restaurant. Buffet style with guest capacity of 6 within the buffet area. Attentive staff in the restaurant. Overall then staffing was amazing. My wife and I agreed the rooms and bed were a negative but the staff was extremely impressive.

Great hospitality. Didn't like the room service much - can't remember them restuffing the room supplies. However, the place had a great view and location. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Great breakfast and dinner service in their restaurant. Executive lounge was an icing on the cake. Really love the fact that their fitness center is open literally 24x7 and is very well equipped. My little daughter enjoyed the fitness pool a lot. Very good spa.

I would give this hotel five stars but it’s very outdated for the price. The staff is always friendly and professional and it’s not far from old Heidelberg.
