is a great place! they have a lift that climbs to 76 meters, at the top of the cathedral, and from there you can see Hamburg in all its splendor. don't miss the museum! you can find out in 20 minutes the history of the bombings that affected this city in World War II.
For a persona who loves history and want to know how the Hamburg was bombed by the RAF will love this place. Most interesting part is they play audio visual which makes it more interesting to know .
Great view from the top. It's interesting to hear how Hamburg was bombed and so many people were killed but also that this bombing by Britain and the USA was in retaliation for Germany's bombings. The museum in the crypt was worth visiting too with many items and personal stories to go with the items from the war. Don't miss the entrance to the museum. It's makes by a lift entrance to the left but all hidden underground
Neat find! The elevator up and crypt downstairs was quite educational. Great price for what you pay for!
Good place and history about St.Nikolai. Luckily they have mentioned the history in both English and german. Suggest to Museum crew, Increase sign board visibility and also keep in English and German
Fantastic looking historic monument and powerful reminder of the recent past. Incredibly good price for entrance to the Tower and museum at 5 euros. Probably only need an hour in the museum but learnt a lot.
We stopped at random. Well worth it. Makes you think.
