Meanwhile, GEO-NET consists of a close networking team of 38 experts and engineers (meteorologists, geographers and planners) and 2 chief executive officers. Between the University of Hanover and GEO-NET is a close cooperation in research and praxis. Together with Prof. Dr. Günter Groß from the Institute of Meteorology and Climatology at the University of Hanover, the mesoscale model FITNAH-3D is used and optimized for the calculation of wind fields and climatic parameters. With more than 3000 projects in more than 50 countries worldwide, GEO-NET shows its long time and global experience in wind and energy yield assessments, wind atlases and wind measurements with LiDAR and masts.
