Hmm...you go there if you already know how to do it. If you are willing to discover something new this place is not for u. Place is nice though. No kids area. No Caffe to spend time while kids are doing their climbing.
Very clean, looks nice, has some walls that simulate outdoor rock. The reception staff is very friendly. However, as a beginner I found it difficult to find a partner at the klettertreff, as attendance was quite limited and everyone seemed very experienced. Almost no routes for beginners.
I've been climbing here occasionally on visits to Frankfurt and the climbing area is decent. However, last time I came with a friend who had only basic knowledge of belay procedures. They didn't let her belay even with a GriGri (which my friend had used before, lead belaying outdoors). Neither did they offer a belay class the same day (or for another week and half!?), and they were unwilling to offer private instruction or let me teach my friend and then test her again. It's not like they were busy -- the gym was practically empty.
Great place for grown-ups and kids as well, nice and very polite people all around and amazing atmosphere! Thank you guys!
