Shiny on the outside, ungly on the inside. We bought a Datejust at allaboutwatches a couple of years ago as a they claimed to only sell checked and inspected watches. Now it turned out that the capstone \Deckstein\ was completely missing from our watch. A fact that could never have been overlooked even when just opening the watch. The repair by a company recommended by allaboutwatches cost us 650. The conclusion is that behind the shiny fassade you should not grant allaboutwatches any more credibility than you would expect from buying a luxury watch somewhere in the street.

Have spoken to Sylvio a couple times re possible trades. If he thinks your pieces aren’t worthy of him—& I have a couple watches easily worth north of 2K—he simply ignores you. I saw another rated this site as having first rate customer service. That sentiment did not ring true for me. From my experience, if you aren’t up to what they feel are their standards, prepare to be made to feel as if you don’t exist—not the feeling one typically feels when they walk away from great, or even good, customer service.
