A lovely self service cafeteria style restaurant with a long service counter. Well organized, with different counters depending on the meals you want to order. The restaurant is clean and neat and the items well presented and all items on display. Comfortable and well lit. There is a lot of take away but the restaurant has plenty of seating available. There is no waiting time in the autumn, spring and winter seasons. Some waiting time in the summer but it moves rapidly. We have a few traditional items that we order at Fischrestaurant de Beer, this includes the smoked eel, shrimp, matjes and fried fish. This time we ordered the shrimp (krabben) broetchen, matjes broetchen, and two fish broetchen. The bread is a little sweet but is does not distract from the meal. The Germans use a lot a remoulade, which I don’t particularly like. But you can ask for it to be excluded. The service is efficient and friendly. The food is good and I recommend it. We will return.
