Here are many playgrounds and it is fun for the kids. Here are many things you can do. It is a good landscape and there is a lot of water here. As a kid I was always excited to go here. There are a lot of restaurants. The place is big and there are some parts that includes water.

A not so much known place to the Berliners, however, a wonderful place to visit with the family. There are so many wonderful things to do with kids. Our kids keep asking to go back all the time!

The lady at the front desk tried to get us to over pay for entrance, which was hilarious. This is a sprawling space so if you’ve got little ones with limited walking, pay to get a dinocart to ease the distances between things. It’s a very bizarre place, with evidence of some love and care but needing a lot more attention for it to be truly engaging. Bring a picnic because there’s nowhere to get food or drink, apart from a vending machine at the entrance/exit. Don’t expect anything marvelous. If you’ve got some time to kill and have 10, go for it. Our kids (13 & 11) didn’t enjoy the slides much (too steep and hurt their backs a bit) and were too old for the wooden fairy-type houses in the woods. They enjoyed the underground boat and the carts best (near the entrance/exit). We climbed the crane, which gave a mundane view over the industrial/forest landscape. Parking is over the other side of the road from the entrance.

A big park with basically things one could find for free at state parks. Exception is the paddle boat in a tunnel and the weird four wheel bikes for kids. The place was built on an old factory for making steel products. Interesting to see that history but there is very little of it. Makes me wonder if it's clean and doesn't contain toxic levels of something.

Hands down, one of the best places to take your kids to in Brandenburg. Playgrounds, climb a crane, steer a boat through an underground tunnel, explore strange wooden houses in a forest. Family ticket is only 10 euro, great money value. You can rent a quadribent bike with 4 seats for 10 euros (20 euro deposit). Keep your ticket, so you can leave the compound to have a Schnitzel and a Bier at the Schleusenkrug and re-enter the Familiengarten.

In october the place seems pretty much dead. Discgolf course has potential but some baskets are impossible to play.
