You'll find the place very spacious beside a touristic location. The St. Benedict monastery produces cheese, wine and even runs a high school or gymnaseum. There are more in production found in their store. Great history of this place includes period of resolution during the reformation despite it's founding toward the end of the middle age. Worth the visit and enjoy the surrounding town too.

Incredible place. I’m surprised it’s popularity is so low. It’s a must visit cathedral. The interior is like none other.

Stopped by while staying in Oberammergau and I was not disappointed! Breathtaking interior and a beautiful exterior in the snow. Recommend sitting inside the church for a bit to take it all in. Also, the limited edition beer in the gift shop was delicious!
