Loved it. The building is beautiful, with lots of interesting stone details. Inside, all the rooms are furnished, with lots of original paintings, period furniture, giant tiled heaters and antler trophy mounts dating to 1600 and earlier. The tour was excellent and the thoughtful guide even tried to translate for me. Without the tour, you can’t go inside. (Tours currently run April to October.) On the premises are three very small shops for an artist, a woodworker, and a soap maker. The cafe is good and has great views but only serves cake and coffee.

10 per person for a castle tour, very short and not so interesting compare to other castles but the garden is so beautiful

Intresting place - just between Bad Pyrmont and Emmerthal There is a nice bike road from Bad Pyrmont to this castle. Just borrow e-bike in the Tourist Information Centre and you are here If it's too hard for you to take a bike- just take a bus number 40. Go to Marktplazt in Bad Pyrmont and in 10 minutes you are in the castle! But always ask driver - if a bus goes to Hamelschenburg - otherwise you can go to the other direction! The history of castle is very interesting -525 years of Klencke Family rule! To the castle you have to go with a group of other tourists-not alone. Don't worry- group of people always waiting at the gate. Just buy a ticket in a souvenir shop nearby and join to them!

Well, I really enjoy to come here with my bike . I started in Bad Pyrmont ( tourists can borrow an e-bike at the Tourist Information Center) and going through Bad Pyrmont, Löwensen, Thal, ... I arrived to Hämelschenburg town . Only 13 km Thanks God it exists a bike road! The castle is opened at 11.30 a.m. and a first guide starts at 12.00 a.m. The ticets you can buy in a souvenir shop close to cafeteria at the castle. When you will be in a castle you get known about the history of Klencke Family, owners of this castle. Really interesting!
