Given that the place is so highly rated, I guess it is really a matter of taste. For me, I simply did not like the dishes we had ordered. It had nothing in common with what I ate during the four months I spent in Vietnam, nor was it accomplished fusion, just a lot of sweet sauce for European vegetables that \Asian\ restaurants in Germany tend to use to make the dish look Occidental.

I was in Düsseldorf for a few days for a congress and was looking for a place to have dinner. Due to the great reviews I chose then ZEN and wow, that was a good decision. The greeting at the door was really nice, food outstanding, music great and the service was just amazing. Especially the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. Big big recommendation! :)
Fresh food, good environment and lovely atmosphere. The waiters are very nice, polite and helpful with their recommendations. I think the food is a bit overpriced. Since it was my first time in Vietnamese restaurant, can't evaluate how good it was, but it doesn't match my taste. However, the food seemed fresh and was also garnished properly. The dessert was a part they should work on, because it wasn't tasty and the price also is expensive for it.
The food was good, but the menu does not bring the essence of the Vietnam cuisine. The waiters where very nice. Overall it is very expensive for nothing so especial.
Very nice food- tasty and well presented, and great selection of drinks. Unfortunately, the service was chaotic. The atmosphere was ok, there is a room in the back great for larger gatherings.
