Brühlscher Garten 4
N/A
This monument stands in tribute to Ludwig Richter, a 19th century German painter, illustrator and etcher. I don’t claim to be familiar with any of his work, but it seems his main legacy was a professorship at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, and illustrating several books including one by Schiller. The monument features a seated Richter with his legs crossed and a book on his lap, alluding to his work as an illustrator. The monument can be found in Brühlscher Garten, along with monuments to many other well known Germans and worth a look if in the gardens, but I wouldn’t go out of the way to see it.

Nice statue.
