I found the waiting times to be long but manageable. Everyone working the BSU were friendly but they only give a limited number of tokens per day so it's difficult to get one of we are not an hour early and waiting in the cold. But once inside, your work is done in a 10 min.

Awful Place... Everything is going slow and inefficient, the person responsible for the residence permits applications is rude and unprofessional. For the university with thousands of people, it is too small and slow place that is not even working every day. One star is put just because they at least could speak English (well, you know how crucially important it is for a university meant to be international). They should really think about increasing the stuff or working every day from the morning till the evening. Otherwise, there is queue here standing from 5 o'clock (5 hours before opening!!!)

Such a worst management they have, this is one of the worst Ausländerbehörde of Deutschland. They don't have any queue management online on their website, people used to stand in the queue early morning from 5am and still they can't find the number when they reach to the gate, after waiting for more than 3-4 hours.
