The setting is perfect and the hospitality was top notch but we came for the tea and it didn’t hold up. We travel a lot looking for fine Puer teas. The Chinese Puer that we had(two kinds of shu) were dried out and tasteless. Possibly not stored well in Berlin dry winters. Like Wine, Puer needs to be stored well.
I've never been in the tea house but I've ordered online, and got wonderful and personalized service. Their choice of chinese teas is excellent and at very reasonable prices for the quality. They go to China each spring to select the teas they'll import, seemingly often in limited quantities. Not only do they hunt rare and precious teas but also lesser known and cheaper (but quality!) teas. I will definitely order again because I'm very happy with what I purchased and because I prefer to get my tea from true tea enthusiasts than from big tea companies.
Great selection of tea and the owner is really passionate and knowledgeable about tea. Unfortunately he doesn't work here. Teas are good quality but a little bit pricey. I have only been for tea tastings so haven't tried sitting in for tea and cake or breakfast yet but I will definitely in the future.
Super cosy! Wide range of teas and lovely mochis. Perfectly brewed/steeped tea. Very nice staff. Will definitely visit again!
