I can only echo the other positive reviews about Mark. He's professional, organized, and absolutely patient. The prepared material is a welcome break from textbook exercises and you can tell the effort put into making them. Mark does the note taking, which allows you to focus on learning and provides a native source of material for later review, not to mention a nice progress log. The lesson time being split between unstructured and structured dialog ensures you learn about what you want to say naturally and that important grammar topics are both covered. Learning with Mark has been the most enjoyable thing I've done in my time as a German learner and contained the most "aha" moments.

Dr. Mark Müller is a great German language teacher! He has infinite patience and offers a methodical, coherent system to learning the language at any level. He focuses on the typical challenges foreigners face learning German and fills in the knowledge gaps. The homework exercises, audio files and notes he takes during the lesson allow one to focus during classes and later recall and work on what was covered. I can highly recommend his tutoring services for both one-on-one private lessons and business group classes!
We really enjoy our lessons with Mark. His educated articulation of the rules underlying the language have quickly improved our progress and understanding, along with his weekly complementary homework exercises that we can work around our schedules.
Mark is an excellent German teacher. I've been trying to learn German for the past year and a half, but nothing ever really clicked or resonated until I started having lessons with Mark. I tried online Skype tutors, Babbel, self-study and a German language school in Berlin, but I always ended up feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or confused during the lessons, and especially when I did the homework. But I haven't felt that way AT ALL with Mark's lessons or homework. He creates a very fun, effective and comfortable teaching environment. In just 3 lessons, I have seen really good progress in my speaking and listening skills and I have more confidence talking to my German in-laws and friends! :) I am very grateful to be working with Mark and I highly recommend him as a German teacher!

I really enjoy learning German with Mark. There's an emphasis on speaking, which is great for confidence. Mark's approach is very thoughtful – from the writeup provided after each lesson to the bespoke worksheets with examples of sentences you will actually use.
Upsides: Good teacher for grammar, somewhat flexible in adjusting the time and date of the lessons if needed be Downside: Poor spelling, exercises are full of typos and mistakes, even found on the website. After months of lesson he still doesn't type my name right...
Great tutor, learning a lot. Highly recommend him to anyone seeking German language courses.
